The question is always about how much we create — and not how consistently we show up (for our users and for ourselves in terms of breaks and rest days). But sometimes it’s all that matters.

On that note, let’s start this week’s Going Solo with

  • Hank Green on creating paths
  • #Discover100Creators: Paras Chopra
  • LinkedIn is stirring the pot to reduce clickbait posts
  • Bypassing burnouts

LinkedIn Aims to Reduce Click-bait Posts on the Platform

Users and engagement on LinkedIn are on the rise and how! Owing to that, LinkedIn is introducing certain measures to cut down click-bait posts on the platform.

Of course the change in the algorithm is clear — pushing content or LinkedIn users who are authentic or initiating conversations that matter. Besides, LinkedIn is now offering users to choose what sort of content they’d like to consume or not, especially political content. Not all too keen to read a certain category of news? No problem, opt out!

With this level of filtering, LinkedIn also intends to reduce posts where authors actively seek likes or engagement.

Bypassing Burnouts: From Google for Creators

At Thousand Faces Club, you’ll always find us saying: a creator’s life is a lonely journey. 🚶‍♂️

No wonder when burnouts occur we often find no one to lean on — besides, burnout is a conversation most avoid. When we’re trying to squash burnout, what works for you might not work for others. But starting with the basics is the 🔑.

In this video, Google for Creators addresses just that.
